The Room

Since the Laemle Sunset 5 is shutting it's doors forever (and becoming a Sundance Theater), Chelsea and I went to see "The Room," an independent film that has been playing there once a month for the past 8 years.  Writer/Director/Actor/Space Alien Tommy Wiseau was there for a Q&A beforehand.

I managed to record about half of it after my brain stopped exploding, and you may listen to it by clicking here.

I had heard about The Room, that it was a cult classic, that it had some memorable lines, and that people sometimes threw spoons during the screening.  But neither Chelsea nor I were prepared for the insane audience participation that went on.  It was like MST3K on steroids!  People REALLY knew this movie, and their commentary was hilarious.  I don't know if it was just a special audience or if it's like this all the time, but we had a blast!

Picking up spoons for the next show.

The Room is still playing all over the country and I hear Tommy makes it to as many screenings as possible, so if you get a chance I highly recommend it.
